It's KITTEN SEASON, which means every rescue has little ones that are focused on growing and developing--they're not ready for adoption yet, but they're working on it! These are a few of our little cuties enrolled in OP Kitten Camp. Check out our Social Media accounts to watch their progress, and you'll be the first to know when they're available for adoption!
Kiki: This little beauty suffers from a congenital condition called micropthalmia with eyelid agenesis. Basically her upper eyelids are nonexistent and her eyes are very underdeveloped with minimal vision. She will need surgery to make her more comfortable and stop the scarring of her eyes, but she's a feisty, happy girl who doesn't know she's different!

Sakura: This little fluffy wasn't too sure about humans when she was first rescued, but thanks to the efforts of her Superstar Foster Mom she has come to quite enjoy being petted. She's a true 'hisses to purrs' success story!

Aladdin: This little guy is one sick baby. He's half the appropriate weight for a kitten his age, and our team was horrified to feel his tiny, emaciated body during his intake exam. He and his sister Jasmine were pulled from horrifying conditions and we are hoping and praying that he pulls through. He has begun a course of antibiotics, anti-parasitics, and supportive therapies, and we can't wait to see the beautiful kitty he will become. This little one has suffered way too much in his short life--happier days are ahead!

Jasmine: Although she is a bit healthier than her brother Aladdin, Jasmine is also underweight for her age and we're glad that she was rescued from the horrifying conditions of her previous existence. She's receiving medications and supportive therapy, hanging out in the kitty hammock and chatting with her brother while they go through their 14 day quarantine. Her markings are so unusual--the black on her face is not dirt, it is her coloring! What a unique girl--we look forward to watching her grow and develop into a healthy kitty!
|
Genie: This poor little girl is Aladdin & Jasmine's sister, and she was rescued in terrible condition with a corneal rupture in her left eye. Her ophthalmologist thinks she can save the eye, which is fantastic news! She has a lot of love to give, and this issue isn't going to stop her--check in to see her progress!
|
Romeo: He came from the same location as Aladdin and his siblings, so they are most likely relatives to some degree. He is slightly older and more robust than the smaller, more sickly kittens. They all enjoy snuggling together, so we are sure they find comfort as a group. It's all blue skies from now on, kiddo!
|
Abu: Sibling to Aladdin, Jasmine, Genie, Jafar, and Magic. This little cutie came to rescue underweight and struggling, like all the kittens from that horrible location. With love and care, we are looking forward to seeing just how gorgeous Abu will become! Stay tuned!

Clementine: Sweet as sugar, this little girl and her sister Clover are true Southern Belles. They are affectionate and playful, and we are glad that someone was watching out for them when their Momcat disappeared, leaving them all alone in a kind lady's back yard. They are grateful to be safe, and are working on growing and developing their life skills.
|
Clover: Precious little Clover is Clementine's sister, and the two little ladies are the most adorable little fluffsters we've seen in a while. They are lucky to have been rescued, and look forward to long, happy lives as beloved family members.

These gorgeous siblings were dropped off during one of the monthly Project Unleashed events at Camillus House. They were all in good health and very friendly with everyone from kids to dogs, so they were the perfect candidates to become our very first feline ambassadors for our new Carrfur program!
They are all paired up with formerly homeless human fosters who are in the unique position of being able to totally understand and empathize with the struggles of a homeless kitty. The project launched officially on July 7th at The Royalton, and we are so excited for these lucky kittens and their foster parents. It truly is a mutually-beneficial endeavor, and we are excited to develop and expand the program. |
